Wedding Party

Cody Black - Groomsman

Groom's side, Scallywag and steersman
Cody and I met in 6th grade where we sat at the same table together in science class. For those of you interested in the math, that means we've known each other for around 12 years now. Of our group of 5 guys that hung out regularly, he and Shawn are the only two left and, sadly, Cody leaves us in January to head off to Full Sail. Due to his awesomeness, we forgive such choices, raise a glass in his toast, and are glad we can celebrate with him in the interim.

Shawn Bruns - Groomsman

Groom's side, Watches port and starboard bows simultaneously!
Shawn and I rode the bus together in 8th grade and have been friends ever since. For those of you (however rare you might be) who knew us back then, marvel at the picture to the right. Then go get your yearbook. Yes, these are the same Shawn Bruns.

Shawn has been a great friend over the years, and I am glad he will be standing beside me to hand me tissues as I attempt to get married.

Ze girl is ze lovely Britt Masters, who will likely have helped him pick out the tissues. Many thanks to Britt for letting Shawn out to spend Sunday evenings rolling dice at my apartment!

Corrie Gregory - Bridesmaid

Bride's side, Friend and Closet Photo Booth Model
I have embarrassing pictures of Corrie and I running around in our swimsuits in my backyard as kids. But don't worry, they will not be present at the reception, even as proof to how long we've known each other (a really long time). Corrie likes to remind me of things from my childhood that I don't remember. She does it often, since we live together and both go to MSU. We also both work at day cares, but not the same one. Corrie is currently a junior majoring in Speech Language Pathology and is happy to explain what that means to anyone who gives her a blank look. Like me!
Yay Corrie!

Theresa Lochaas - Bridesmaid

Bride's side, Friend and Blood Sister . . . no not really. But she is my friend.
For the first two years we knew each other, Theresa and I only communicated about twice a year, over the phone, and saw each other maybe half that often. But the friendship stuck and now she's one of my closest friends. We met at the Missouri Fine Arts Academy as roommates and spent most of the three weeks debating theology and discussing our confusing love lives. We still debate and discuss and although I'm getting married, life is still confusing and worth chatting about. Theresa is a junior at Southwest Baptist in Bolivar. We talk in person now, mostly.
